RETRACTION is proud to have had its REVEEL Endoscopic Retractor feature in a poster that was accepted by the prestigious Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons in Baltimore in April 2013.
The study was undertaken by Professor Philip Chiu and his team at the Department of Surgery, CUHK Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skills Center, The Chinese University of Hong Kong focuses on the development of the Active Traction feature of the REVEEL and compares its superior frictional characteristics with that of a conventional metallic retractor..
The paper concludes that REVEEL has a friction performance almost twice that of a conventional metallic retractor and therefore has the ability to retractor the liver in a “gentle” manner.
